Lighthouse Park District of Evanston, IL

The Grosse Point Light Station, Evanston, Illinois erected in 1873, served over 67 years as the leading navigational aid into the Port of Chicago. In 1976, the Light Station was listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The Illinois Department of Transportation commissioned Fortune Restoration to restore this historically significant structure.

It was a pleasure to have had a group of people of such professional caliber to work here, and I personally enjoyed the experience - this is something I've rarely said about contractors in my twelve years of managing the District.
